At
one time the largest farm in Holderness, Enholmes Farm came into prominence
in the middle of the nineteenth century when it was acquired by the
Marshalls, an entrepreneurial family of mill owners from Leeds, whose
intention was to introduce the latest industrial working techniques
and methods to agricultural life.
Situated on the outskirts of Patrington village, just fifteen miles
from Hull city centre, Enholmes farm offers all the advantages of
modern country living with all the advantages of being in easy commutable
distance of the heart of the city.
The Village offers plenty of amenities including shops, garages, pubs
and a primary school, and is dominated by the 190ft spire of St Patrick’s
Church, a wonderful example of English church architecture that has
survived virtually unchanged since its completion in 1410. |
